The following are factors to consider when evaluating record sets for e-resource batch loads. This is not a linear process and every question will not be relevant for every record set; however this document can be used as a checklist to ensure that all issues have been taken into account in making a decision. There are five major aspects to consider:
- Number of records
- Quality of the records
- Matching on existing records
- Preprocessing scripts
- Sending new records to OCLC
